Journey
Flexibility is a word Dodge officials use a lot when describing the new crossover vehicle. Start with seating. The standard edition comes with two buckets and a three-seat second-row bench, which splits, folds, and also can recline. Optional is a third row that provides room for two more.
The new crossover also boasts plenty of storage space, notably including large bins built into the second-row floor. Removable and neoprene-lined, they can be used as in-vehicle coolers, or hiding spots for a purse, a camera, or other objects you might want to keep out of sight. A second glovebox, meanwhile, offers a chiller for a couple of soft drink cans. There are plenty of cupholders, of course, including bottle holders molded into the lower door panels. Yet another hidden storage bin can be accessed through the liftgate.
The Dodge Journey is offered with your choice of two powerplants: a 173-horse 2.4-liter four hitched to a four-speed automatic or a 235-horse 3.5-liter V6.

Avenger
The new 2008 Dodge Avenger SE, SXT, and sporty R/T and R/T AWD models. SE and SXT come with a 172-hp 2.4-liter 4-cyl. A 190-hp 2.7-liter V6 is optional for SXT. R/Ts have a 235-hp 3.5-liter V6. R/T AWD models have all-wheel drive, other Avengers are front drive. The 2.4 and 2.7 use a 4-speed automatic transmission, the 3.5 a 6-speed automatic. Front-drive R/Ts have a sport suspension. Front side airbags and curtain side airbags are standard. Traction/antiskid control is optional. Also optional is a navigation system with digital-audio connectivity, wireless cell phone link, and a 20-gigabyte hard drive that can hold music or picture files. Other options include a heated and cooled cupholder, remote engine start, leather upholstery, and DVD entertainment.
The Avenger's cabin is extremely spacious with 2,900 litres (102.3 cubic feet) of room. Volume in the trunk is a competitive 368 litres (13 cubic feet). The cabin's rich-looking interior surfaces includes standard YES Essentials fabric, an easy-care, soil-repellent and anti-microbial textile that protects seats from stains, odours and discoloration; heated cloth seats, an instrument panel top pad with Franklin grain with a low-gloss finish, and the centre stack features a Stipple grain with low-gloss finish to match the top cover, defroster grille, driver cubby and Dodge logo on passenger side surrounds. Taking a cue from the Dodge Ram, the Avenger's centre stack features a V-like ram's horn shape that surrounds the gated shifter bezel and serves as a design focal point.

Nitro

Chrysler updates its minivans for 2008, adding available curtain side airbags and fold-away 2nd- and 3rd-row seats. Town & Country is an upscale version of the Dodge Caravan. It comes in regular- and extended-length models, both with 7-passenger seating. Base and LX regular-length models have a 3.3-liter V6. Touring and Limited extended models have a 3.8 V6. All have automatic transmission. Traction control is available on extended. ABS is standard on extended, optional on regulars.
Newly standard on all is a driver-side knee airbag. Newly available are head-protecting curtain side airbags that cover all three seating rows. Other available features include power sliding side doors, power liftgate, power-adjustable pedals, rear DVD entertainment, and navigation system.
